Welcome to NCMPR's 2026 District Medallion Awards
The district Medallion Awards, sponsored by the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations, recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges in each of seven districts. The regional competition is exclusive to marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.
NCMPR is the leading professional development organization for two-year college communicators. The organization provides regional and national conferences, webinars, a summer institute, relevant information on emerging marketing and PR trends, and connections to a network of more than 1,600 colleagues across the country. NCMPR is an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

DISTRICT 1: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
DISTRICT 2: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia; Bermuda; Puerto Rico; and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
DISTRICT 3: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario.
DISTRICT 4: Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.

JUDGING AND AWARDS
- Medallion Awards are judged by a combination of industry experts and NCMPR peers with expertise in marketing, public relations, communications and advancement.
- Gold, silver and bronze awards may be presented in each category based on the judges' scores. No ties will be awarded. Winners will receive a Medallion Award engraved with their institution's name and award category.
- Entrants whose work places in the top three will be notified before their district conference. Gold, silver and bronze placements will be announced during the district awards ceremony.
- Awards are based on judges' evaluations. In some cases, not all award levels may be presented if entries do not meet the scoring criteria.
- Colleges will not receive awards until all entry fees have been paid in full.
- Award recipients are encouraged to pick up their Medallion Award at their district conference. A shipping and handling fee may apply for awards that must be shipped after the conference.
